production of process and laboratory analytical instrumentation.
Developed modular automatic analyzers using CFA technology; panel mount meters/controllers;
ideated and patented novel class of process control sensors. Secured R&D
projects for private customers and government agencies in various optical and
chemical sensor technologies.
The company was sold but the automatic analysers it produced worked fine
and still do, they are in use in many plants and
some of them are on the web.

Environmental, consulting and engineering, and specialized at this site in
nuclear waste modeling projects and chemical instrumentation development.
Left when procuring more than 55% of company revenues, from zero to 3 MUSD/year
sales. Department included electronic and mechanical workshops, company wide IT
operations; three project managers, six technicians.
Secured projects funded by National and European agencies, as well as academic,
industrial, and public customers, for activities including: chemical sensors,
fiber optic spectrophotometry, semiconductor gas sensors. Built mobile
laboratory for water monitoring.
Supported other departments in Risk Assessment, Site Characterization, Process
Optimization.
Left when parent company (Sandoz) downsized (MBT was eventually sold).
